Laura Mercier Cosmetics is a French and American cosmetics and skincare line that was founded in 1996 by celebrity makeup artist Laura Mercier. Mercier teamed up with Janet Gurwitch in 1996 to launch the cosmetics line. After 10 years, the cosmetics company was acquired by the Japanese beauty conglomerate The Shiseido Group. Laura Mercier remains active in the brand, deeply involved in the product development and creative direction of the brand. From the outset, Laura Mercier Cosmetic's goal was to offer "high-quality, natural-looking makeup products for all skin tones and types", according to the Wall Street Journal. The brand became known for its focus on products to create what it calls the "flawless face", a concept derived from Mercier's reputation for promoting naturalistic makeup. In 2012, it became the official cosmetics brand of Project Runway All Stars Second Season. Ingredients are isododecane, disteardimonium hectorite, cera alba (beeswax), cera carnauba (copernicia cerifera wax), ozokerite, talc, lanolin acid, ethylhexyl palmitate, propylene carbonate, methylparaben, phenoxyethanol, ascorbyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, propylparaben, carthamus tinctorius (safflower) seed oil, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, retinyl palmitate, tocopherol, euphrasia officinalis extract, centaurea cyanus flower extract, anthemis nobilis flower extract. How to use: Apply to the eyelid with Crème Eye Colour Brush, the wand applicator or clean fingertips. If applying as eye primer, choose a shade close to your skin tone. Laura loves to mix the Eyebright shade with other hues to brighten the look of the eyelids. The opaque brightness of the light blue shade gives a healthy glow to the eyelids (and helps correct purple or pink tones, too).
